Zula has over 23 years of experience working in Correctional Facilities and Detention facilities in several states.

In 1998, Zula began working for the Ohio Department of Corrections as a Correctional Officer. Later, Zula moved into the Classification Department before relocating to Alaska, adding to the team of Correctional employees as a Jailer.

After relocating back to the Lower 48, Zula was employed with Bell County Juvenile Services where she held many positions within the Agency from Juvenile Supervision Officer, Food service manager, Probation Officer Assistant, Deferred Prosecution Officer, Intake Specialist and Administrative assistant.

After 8 years of Service, Zula moved over to Education with Killeen ISD. Initially starting with Alternative Education students, Zula quickly enjoyed working with Early Child Education students best.

In 2017, Zula Transferred over to The Texas Department of Criminal justice where she served the Agency as a Food Service Manager, Building Sergeant and Training Instructor.
